Capability

Personnel from Product Technology Partners Ltd have been involved in the development of products and bespoke designs for sound and vibration measurement since 1984. Our capability encompasses:

• Understanding and implementation of the relevant international standards
• Algorithm development for frequency analysis, statistical time analysis, and integrating-averaging noise statistics
• Software development for PC, handheld computers, embedded processors and DSP
• Design of front-end hardware for data acquisition
• Development of specialised equipment for measuring sound emissions and vibrations in a production test environment

We specialise in the development of computer-based solutions for the measurement and analysis of acoustic noise and vibration. We have developed both products and bespoke systems and we are well aware of the differing business requirements of these two classes of development. Our systems and algorithm designers have many years experience of translating the exacting requirements of standard and non-standard measurement techniques into working combinations of hardware and software. And, of course, all of our developments are fully tested and documented according to our customers' requirements.

• Computer-Aided Noise Analysis and Logging: PC-based software/hardware solution providing logging and frequency analysis facilities
• ProTest: A flexible, configurable system for production testing of noise and vibration emissions (e.g. in automotive subassemblies)
