September 2008 - LabVIEW Certification Success at PTP

In an increasingly competitive world it is important to be able to differentiate yourselves from the rest of the pack - and nowhere is this more true than in the field of software development. Certification by an independent third party is an effective way to prove your skill levels and give customers the assurance that work will be carried out to a defined standard.

National Instruments offer such certification for their range of software platforms and it is with great pride that PTP announce that Dr Richard Thomas has just passed his Certified LabVIEW Developer examination with flying colours, obtaining an overall pass mark of 96%.

Richard joined the company in May this year having previously worked at Cambridge University where he specialised in aerothermodynamic research using LabVIEW-controlled equipment. He is shown on the right of the picture, receiving his certificate from Peter Horn of National Instruments.

Commenting on the achievement, Peter Horn said, “LabVIEW certification is the ideal way to prove to potential customers that you have achieved an advanced level of programming expertise which will increase productivity and ensure the development of a robust and flexible application.”

This new certification brings the total of NI qualified programmers at PTP to three, as both Martin Saxon and Kevin Snelling have successfully renewed their Certified LabWindows/CVI Developer status this year.
