On 6th June 2006, Product Technology Partners (PTP) exhibited at the successful National Instruments Automated Developers Forum in Coventry.

Attendees were invited to hear about advanced technologies for machine and industrial control, including smart sensors, wireless communications and new software technologies for managing distributed systems. They also gained insight into how the convergence of PLCs, PCs and embedded technologies is making it possible for engineers to create more sophisticated applications that incorporate measurement, motion, vision and advanced control.

The event, hosted by National Instruments and industry partners, featured: technical training, demonstrations, industry experts, product developers and system integrators. There was also the opportunity to network with colleagues, build application development expertise, hear case study presentations by leading manufacturers and learn about the latest strategies and techniques through sessions for engineers, managers and machine builders designing measurement systems for process control and industrial automation.

At the PTP stand, vistors were able to view an interactive vision inspection system and speak to Dr Martin Saxon (a LabWindows/CVI Certified Developer) who was on hand to talk through their machine and process control requirements. Areas of particular interest included high speed / high precision automation, precision control, vision systems and complex data acquisition & analysis projects.

All attendees were entered into a free prize draw to win a range of quality prizes donated by the exhibitors. The picture alongside shows Dr Saxon presenting the PTP prize (a PlayStation Portable with FIFA World Cup game) to one of the lucky winners.
