Process Automation in food, pharmaceutical and other manufacturing industries is typically PLC-based with individual cells often having specialist sub-systems such as precision servo controllers, vision systems, and the like. In addition, supervisory control and communication with corporate databases is typically undertaken by PC systems running SCADA software.
As well as developing PLC controllers and SCADA systems for continuous and batch process machinery, PTP have a record of success in tackling the more demanding aspects of process automation, especially where innovative and novel methods are to be used to deal with 'difficult' products and to improve productivity.
