TTi have launched what they claim to be the "world's best" laboratory dc power supply range - the QL Series. The QL represents the ‘next generation’ of laboratory power supplies, maintaining the tradition of innovation started with the PL series in 1979 and continued throughout more than two decades. To expose the full remote programming functionaility to National Instruments’ LabVIEW^TM and LabWindows CVI^TM an IVI driver was needed. PTP were able to dilvery a timely and cost effective solution by employing the the Create IVI Instrument Driver tool in CVI and the class libraries currently available. This creates the skelaton of the driver which is then cutomised, at a C level, to the instrument. The final solution is an IVI driver, with full documentation built into the function panel, for CVI users and an installable instrument driver for LabVIEW users.
